What is the Advising and Registration Process at Spring Next Step?
We will take care of scheduling you an advising appointment between 1:30-4:00pm for the day of your session. During this afternoon appointment, you will work with your adviser to select spring courses and register. In preparation for this meeting, you will attend a pre-advising session - an overview of important academic information. It is imperative you attend this pre-advising session in order to register for classes in the afternoon.
What is important to remember after I have registered for courses?
Be sure to use your academic advisor since he or she:
- Helps you select your courses
- Shares information that will help you get the most out of the University
- Once you have received your final transcript, make sure you are not registered for any duplicate courses. If a course seems repetitive of one you have previously taken see your academic advisor immediately.
- Please be aware of Registration Changes Information. Click here for an explanation.
- Once on campus, visit your advisor to review your finalized transcript and to make sure you fully understand the degree audit, the transfer process, etc.
