Next Step Transfer Student Orientation

We're excited to have you transferring to Colorado State University! As a transfer student, we know your experiences and needs differ from those of incoming freshmen. To better serve your unique needs we have developed Next Step, an orientation program that highlights information pertinent to you as a transfer student.

Whether you're coming to us from a 2-year college in Colorado or out-of-state, or plan to transfer from another 4-year institution, Next Step provides an opportunity for you to discover aspects of Colorado State that may differ from your previous institution.

At Next Step you will:

  • Receive academic advising
  • Prepare to register for Fall semester classes
  • Take placement exams*(if needed)
  • Connect with CSU faculty and staff
  • Visit with financial aid representatives
  • Meet with a staff member of Transfer Evaluation
  • Obtain your student ID card*
  • Access housing information
  • Meet other transfer students
  • Purchase a parking permit* (if needed)
  • And much more!

* A fee will be assessed to your student account for services marked with an asterisk above.

  • April 21
  • May 23
  • June 9
  • July 2
  • July 31
  • August 1

 

Please note that program registration will close when full or at least 5 days prior to each session.

Don't wait to sign-up for Next Step! Space is limited and sessions are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. For advising and registration purposes, we recommend you attend the earliest session possible.
